A holiday gin sour with LAVA Sweet & Sour Mix and a red wine float.

Ingredients

• 2 oz gin
• 1 oz LAVA Sweet & Sour Mix
• 0.25 oz LAVA Simple Syrup (optional, to adjust sweetness)
• 1 egg white (optional, for foam)
• 0.75 oz dry red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, or Malbec)
• Garnish: rosemary sprig or dehydrated citrus wheel
• Ice: shake with ice, serve over fresh ice or up

Instructions

  1. Add gin, LAVA Sweet & Sour Mix, LAVA Simple Syrup, and egg white (if using) to a shaker.

  2. Dry shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds to build foam.

  3. Add ice and shake again until well chilled.

  4. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice or into a coupe for an up presentation.

  5. Slowly float red wine over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect.

  6. Garnish with rosemary or citrus.

Notes

• Skip egg white for a lighter, cleaner sour.
• Use a bold but dry red wine for best contrast.
• Gin can be swapped for vodka for a softer profile.
